About the station
Northwind Field began as a shared shed and a spreadsheet. Four growers wanted consistent soil readings across neighboring quarter-sections without buying the same proprietary dashboard four times.
Today the station maintains plot trials, a small telemetry network, and a public archive of field notes. We are not a seed company, not a software vendor, and not a consultancy. We publish what we run on our own ground.
What we keep here
- Cover-crop and rotation trial protocols with year-over-year results
- Soil moisture, temperature, and rainfall logs from field sensor nodes
- Equipment calibration notes for drills, spreaders, and moisture probes
- Lab results for organic matter, infiltration, and aggregate stability
The archive is reference material. There is no newsletter, comment section, or account system on this site.
